To All Involved in our Arts, Cultural and Creative Communities:
The surveys of space needs for artists, creatives, arts or cultural organizations, and creative or arts-friendly businesses are now closed. If you were one of the many who participated in this important study, thank you! Your input will help influence the potential for a new, affordable multi-use arts facility in the Elmira/Corning and Southern Finger Lakes region. This potential project would be designed specifically for the needs of the creative community and could include affordable space like: artist live/work housing, private studios, commercial space for creative businesses and nonprofits, and shared spaces for creating, practicing, learning, showcasing art, collaborating, engaging with the public and conducting business.
Community and civic leaders are working with Artspace Projects, a national, nonprofit organization, to conduct a study of the space needs of artists of all disciplines and arts and cultural organizations and creative and arts-friendly businesses in Elmira, Corning, and the surrounding region.
We value your opinions. Your input is critical to the success of the project and will ensure that any potential new space meets the needs of the creative community, including type, number and size of spaces, design features, affordability, and amenities.
Thank you for your interest in this project.
