Artist Statement

In one of the first shows I'd entered, Peter Plagens, an art critic at Newsweek Magazine described my work as "funny, concise, and direct." Since, I've gone on to exhibit my art in diverse venues such as the Hoyt Musem, The Monmouth Museum, The Lexington Art League, Fallingwater, in addition to The Andy Warhol Museum among various other galleries.

I've also had my work in several catalogues and mentioned in various media outlets such as the Pittsburgh Tribune Review, Sewickley Herald and the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. In exploring various art mediums, I also published a children's book, Fred Eats a Pea that was the staff pick of the day by VegNews Magazine.

I consider it an honor and privilege to be in such a nurturing and engaging space where I will continue creating and sharing my art. To be able to do that on an artist's budget is a major gift. As we all know, artists tend to struggle because they can be consumed by their art and not by money. This wonderful place allows me the opportunity to develop my art and expand my own horizons while doing so.
