Artspace provides affordable live/work space for more than 1,100 artists and their families.  Meet some of the individual artists who bring vitality to our spaces.

Yoland Petrocelli

Yolanda Petrocelli

Yolanda Petrocelli is a contemporary artist living in Read's Artspace in Bridgeport,CT. Originally from Mexico City, Ms. Petrocelli explores subconscious mental landscapes, creating images that celebrate the spirit of women and Nature.

 

Maria Providencia Casanovas

Maria Providencia Casanovas is a Visual Artist from Spain, living in New York since 2005. Her work includes photography, printmaking, installation, and moving media. She resides at El Barrio's Artspace PS109 in New York. 

Jodi Reeb

Cassandra Reed

Ms. Reed, an Artspace Everett Loft resident, is inspired from high style fashion to highlight her Native American heritage-her paintings are colorful, dramatic and provocative.

Anthony (Tony) Republicano

A teaching artist for more than 25 years, Anthony "Tony" Republicano is an experienced performer. A featured artist on the Connecticut Office of the Arts Teaching Artist roster, Republicano is a prominent Connecticut-based artist. Tony Republicano is a member of SAG-AFTRA whose television credits include Blue Bloods, Good Wife, Law and Order SVU in addition to having credits in feature and independent films.

Cindy Roberts

A self taught artist, Cindy Tesrow Roberts' love of art began in grade school with the nurturing support and encouragement of her teachers. She now works and lives in the Artspace Loveland Lofts in Colorado. 

Dave Rogers

Dave Rogers, a resident of Artspace Patchogue Lofts is a Neo-POP painter, installation and sculpture artist and independent curator, who has shown his work nationally and internationally. 

Jacqueline Romano

Sailboat Bend Artist Lofts resident artist, Jacqueline Romano, is a freelance as Photo Editor for Getty Images, Video Editor for Blackwood Productions, Art Director for Blindfold Magazine, and graduate of Parsons the New School for Design. She has worked as a make-up artist, photographer, designer, and animator in LA, New York, and Florida.

Maya Rose

Maya is a painter and a doll maker at the Northern Warehouse Artists’ Cooperative in St. Paul, MN. She values a simple hand-made life that incorporates color, nature and beauty and imparts these elements into her work. 

Heather Fortin Rubald

Heather F. Rubald is the founder of a handmade fashion design company called HFR Designs. HFR Desgins specializes in converting unwanted plastic bags into beautiful artful designs of durable fabric that can be used to create a variety of accessories—from bags to yoga and fitness equipment. Combining her passion of drawing, knitting, crocheting, and painting with an interest in conservation, Rubald has created a niche of her own.

Brandon Ryan

Brandon Ryan was honored with both a Seattle Times Footlight Award and a TPS Gregory Falls Award Best Actor nomination for his performance in Maria/Stuart at Theater Schmeater in 2009. He is also the founder/artistic director of MAP Theatre, which he runs with Peggy Gannon.

Lynn Schirmer

Lynn Schirmer is an artist, curator, web developer, and activist living/working at the Tashiro Kaplan Artist Lofts. She is also a survivor of State and non-State torture, trafficking, and human experimentation and uses her artwork as a vehicle to educate the public about the extent of hidden violence in our society, particularly that perpetrated on women and children. 

Rajan Sedalia

Blending the boundaries of graffiti, comics and industrial design, Rajan's work focuses on the words left unsaid. 

PM Shore

Everett Station Lofts resident PM Shore has an education in art and has worked in Applied Arts as a Graphic Designer, Art Director and Creative Director for ad agencies and design firms throughout the area. She also was co-owner of a full-color printing firm for 15 years and ran her own design firm. 

Kaitlyn Shrove

Kaitlyn Shrove is a photographer living in Buffalo, New York. Shrove states, "Living at Artspace Buffalo Lofts has inspired me in more ways than I can speak of. Between my own space and the people I share the building with, creativity spreads far and wide. I feel lucky every single day." 

Quest Skinner

Brookland resident Quest Skinner is always striving to find new ways to make her artwork break away the emotional blockade between artists and buyers. Working with different traditional and non traditional mediums, her fluid and always interchanging style of work keeps patrons coming back to explore world through Quest’s eyes.

Kirk Sklar transformed his background in sculpture into a successful career as a jewelry designer, using ancient methods of metal working from Japan and Korea.

Craig Smyres

Craig Smyres is a painter, a photographer, a writer and a sculptor at the Riverside Artist Lofts in Reno, Nevada. 

Spencer Stephens

Spencer Stephens is a multidisciplinary artistic talent residing in El Barrio's Artspace PS109. His classically trained, yet real-world refined talents in vocal, dance and theater have lead him to a multitude of opportunities throughout the years; including opening for world renowned Hip-hop legend Slick Rick at B.B. King's in Times Square.

Nerissa Street

Nerissa Street is a teaching artist and mediamaker whose visionary storytelling and sharp insights catalyze her community. She is a resident at Sailboat Bend Artist Lofts in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. 

Liza Sylvestre

Resident Artist at Jackson Flats, Liza Sylvestre is a recipient of a Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant 2014 and a Minnesota State Arts Board Arts Learning Grant. She is a founder of Create Move Communicate and makes work influenced by hearing loss and communication. 

Jodee Thelen

Artspace Hiawatha Lofts resident Jodi Thelen is an American actress born in St. CloudMinnesota, who recently starred in a Seattle-based film, Laggies.  

Joel Thingvall

Joel Thingvall is an accomplished actor, arts critic, and writer. Thingvall has seen more than 100 stage and film performances as an artist critic and opinion writer. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, Thingvall mentors student filmmakers, actors, as well as writers in the Twin Cities.

Jonathan Thunder

Jonathan Thunder is a painter and digital media artist currently residing in Duluth, Minnesota. He has attended the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe and received a Bachelor's Degree in Visual Effects and Motion Graphics from the Art Institutes International Minnesota.

Noelle Timmons

Noelle was born and raised in Southern California and grew up in an artistic family; she drew and painted at an early age, and went on to study at Laguna College of Art and Design, and the New York Academy of Art. She is a resident of El Barrio's Artspace PS109 in New York.
