El Barrio’s Artspace PS109: Celebrating 10 Years of Creativity in El Barrio This year marks a major milestone: El Barrio’s Artspace PS109 is celebrating its 10th anniversary as a cornerstone of affordable housing and creative space for artists in East Harlem. Since opening its doors in 2014, PS109 has become much more than a building. It is a living, breathing hub where artists, neighbors, and cultural organizations come together to create, perform, and share their voices.
