Artspace - Building Better Communities Through The Arts 

The Harvester Artspace Lofts project transformed the historic International Harvester warehouse at 1000 S. Main Street into a 36-unit residential building designed to meet the space needs of creative individuals and their families. Each unit has sufficient additional space - about 200 square feet - for an artist's studio. The project also contains 5,320 square feet of non-residential space designated for arts-friendly uses such as working artist studios, offices of arts organizations, galleries and coffeeshops.

Households benefiting from this project are households with incomes between 40% and 60% of median income for Council Bluffs (median income currently $64,800).  The project includes 2 efficiencies, 10 one bedrooms, 19 two bedrooms and 5 three bedrooms. The three bedroom units on the main floor have direct access to the outdoor playground area and community garden, making them ideal living spaces for families.
