Harvester Artspace Lofts
About this Property
The Harvester Artspace Lofts project will transform an historic International Harvester warehouse at 1000 S. Main Street into a 36-unit residential building designed to meet the space needs of creative individuals and their families. Each unit will have sufficient additional space - about 200 square feet - for an artist's studio. The project will also contain 5,370 square feet of non-residential space that will be designated for arts-friendly uses such as working artist studios, offices of arts organizations, galleries and coffeeshops.
Households benefiting from this project are households with incomes between 40% and 60% of median income for Council Bluffs (median income currently $64,800). The project will include 2 efficiencies, 10 one bedrooms, 19 two bedrooms and 5 three bedrooms. The three bedroom units will be on the main floor with direct access to the outdoor playground area and community garden, making them ideal living spaces for families.
