Artspace - Building Better Communities Through The Arts 

The Arts District at the East Garrison, part of the old Fort Ord U.S. Army base, will be a collaboration between Artspace and Arts Habitat, a Monterey-based nonprofit that has championed the project for more than a decade. Ultimately the development will include two new buildings that will provide 64 units of affordable live/work housing for artists plus 20 historic buildings, most of them built during the WPA era.

Groundbreaking is expected to occur in 2010.
