Artspace - Building Better Communities Through The Arts 

Artspace is pleased to be working with the Council on Culture and Arts for Tallahassee/Leon County (COCA) on the Arts Exchange project. This exciting project has the support of the city of Tallahassee, and was the recipient of a generous $375,000 grant from the Knight foundation, making the next phases of work possible.

The Arts Exchange will be a substantial mixed-use project centrally located between downtown Tallahassee, Florida State University, and Florida A&M University. Current plans call for a campus of several buildings with 50 affordable live/work housing units and administrative, rehearsal, and other spaces for some of Tallahassee’s finest cultural assets. Anchor tenants will be the Tallahassee Ballet, the Boys’ Choir of Tallahassee, and the Council on Culture and the Arts for Tallahassee/Leon County. A 2010 construction start appears likely.
