Kate Tucker joined Artspace in 2016. As the Director of National Advancement, she works with donors for their ongoing support of Artspace.
Kate has been in fundraising for over a decade, always with a strong passion for the arts and education. Most recently she was the Development Director at Lake Country School, and prior to that, she worked in individual giving at the Walker Art Center. Kate also worked in prospect research at the University of Minnesota, and gift planning at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. She first became interested in fundraising as an intern at Interlochen Center for the Arts after seeing the positive impact scholarships had on students.
Kate has a master's degree in Art History from the University of St. Thomas. She focused her studies on the intersection between art patrons and artists for building creative communities. Kate also holds a bachelor's degree in English.
Kate lives in South Minneapolis with her husband, two children, and dog. She considers herself an adopted Minnesotan after growing up in six different states, but will claim herself an Iowan or Michigander depending on her audience. A self-proclaimed TV addict, Kate is emotionally attached to whatever show she's currently watching. When not at work, Kate can be found scouting out the newest restaurant that allows toddlers, walking or biking around the lakes, or channeling all of her creative energy into making a new, theme-specific playlist.
