Artspace Projects announced today a $500,000 grant award from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF), in support of the Pullman Artspace Lofts capital campaign. The Pullman Artspace Lofts will provide 38 affordable live/work units for artists and their families in Chicago, as well as exhibition and community space.

Marie Schaefer was walking on the trail by the river in Hastings she thought, "Wow, I am so lucky." Schaefer said the beauty of the nature in Hastings stood out to her and she saw everything was moving. There was a lot of beauty in it.
Schaefer's walk that day inspired her to write the poem "Junction of Motion." She is one of the new residents at Hastings Artspace Lofts in downtown Hastings.
Artspace invites the public to celebrate the Grand Opening of its new, mixed-use artist housing building, Artspace Hastings River Lofts, located at 121 Tyler Street in Hastings, Minnesota, 20 miles southeast of downtown Saint Paul. The special evening will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 3, kicking off with a short program featuring remarks by Artspace staff, Hastings resident artists, and community and financing partners.
