On Nov. 13, Artspace, the national arts nonprofit developer, and four partners will celebrate a milestone moment for the development of the City Hall Artspace Lofts (13615 Michigan Avenue, Dearborn, MI, 48126): The announcement of a new Arts & Technology Learning Lab within the Connector building and the memorializing of a community leader, Russell J. Ebeid.

The Lab, which is funded by Ford Motor Company Fund and the Ovation television network and supported by Comcast, will be used by Pockets of Perceptions (POP) student design teams, as well as artists who live and work in the City Hall and West Annex buildings on either side of the Connector.

The William Davidson Foundation has funded the build-out of the Connector building, which will offer additional office space that will be leased in coming months as artists’ studios and as commercial space for creative entrepreneurs and nonprofit arts organizations. With its support of the Connector, the foundation is honoring Russell J. Ebeid, a trusted partner and long-time professional associate of William “Bill” Davidson.
