Dana Mattice joined Artspace in 2017 as Grants Writer/Communications Specialist. Passionate about spotlighting inspiring people and projects, Dana connects those stories to funders, media outlets, and communities. Dana brings a decade of arts nonprofit experience to her role, and was previously the Interim Executive Director and Development & Communications Director at the Duluth Art Institute, where she increased grant funding by more than 60%. Prior to relocating to Minnesota, Dana lived in Houston, Texas, and was the Publicist for the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, where she was named “Best Flack” by the Houston Press. Originally from Wisconsin, Dana holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she majored in Art and English. She also holds a certificate in Nonprofit Leadership & Management from the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
Dana lives in Saint Paul and enjoys reading novels, visiting art galleries, cooking, hiking in the woods with her dog, camping, and traveling.
