Dia de los Muertos DC (DDLMDC) is an organization founded to develop and produce community-building events around the traditions and customs of the Dia de los Muertos (A.K.A Day of the Dead) holiday. DDLMDC's mission is to fundraise and support various social causes affecting the (black and brown or Hispanic and Latin) community, through teaching unity and oneness as we all experience death.
Dia de los Muertos DC hopes to develop a better understanding of the real estate process, be put in contact with financial institutions that would be willing to finance their acquisition of space, build relationships with fellow nonprofits in an effort to grow and offer support for their mission, gain guidance on how to tighten up the organization's financials in order to maximize the impact of the dollars that are raised, learn more about the Mellon Foundation, and discern ways to scale the organization's growth.
