The program at the Oglala Lakota Artspace has been a beacon of support for Indigenous artists, offering diverse opportunities through free workshops, concerts, jam sessions, and events.
The Northrup King Building, which plans massive changes including stormwater management, owns vacated streets just north of the project area. Stacy Malbon, building manager, watched the meeting streaming online.
“Sharing Spaces Through Art,” the current exhibit at the Padzieski Gallery, features Dearborn-based artists from Fishnet Studios, City Hall Artspace, the Fine Art Studio and the Tead One Residency program.
The collaboration between Midulla, Shaw, the Tampa Arts Alliance and other partners has included the launch of the arts collective at the Kress Building and the effort to develop Artspace Tampa in Ybor City as affordable housing and studio space for artists.
