Artspace Immersion: Twin Cities (2018-19)

Immersion in Artspace's Hometown

The Artspace Immersion: Twin Cities program is designed to build organizational capacity for arts and cultural nonprofits to create and maintain affordable space for their programming. After piloting the program in Detroit (2015 – 16), Artspace refined the curriculum to include monthly sessions with a mix of speakers, activities, facilitated discussions, group presentations, and independent work time. Artspace is also working with each organization independently to provide one-on-one technical assistance. Participants will build skills and strengthen networks while immersed in Artspace’s mission-driven, artist-led process. Artspsace Immersion will next travel to Memphis, TN.

This program is made possible by The Kresge Foundation.

Artspace Immersion has been really insightful. It has given our leadership team the space and time to think through these problems, and it’s given us access to resources and people with knowledge in real estate, legal, and operational expenses.
