In 2017, Artspace experienced tremendous momentum and manageable growth, with vibrant activity happening in each of our existing 40 projects in operation, as well as construction on six new projects in six communities. We created opportunities for low-income artists by providing more than $3 million in total rent subsidy, and thousands of people came through the doors of Artspace buildings to attend more than 600 performances, programs, exhibitions, and community events in our spaces.
